Carl sandburg has given a very fine picture of fog. it is a natural phenomenon. The poet has compared its arrival just like a cat. The cat arrives silently, slowly, suddenly and gradually without making any kind of noise. It doesn't disturb us. Then the poet tells that the fog does not interfere.It sits. It goes on falling and looking silently and vigilantly over the harbour and cities.It sits silently on its knees like the cat.After sometime it leaves is completely.Thus the activities in the nature go on perennially.

Following  this principle we must remain busy in our work. This is the landmark of success.
